REGONIK Ltd. Company Bratislava (Slovak Republic) has developed an automated information system for passengers and train staff in co-operation with company BUSE s.r.o. (Ltd.) Blansko (Czech Republic).
Information system consists of elements of the acoustic facility REGONIK VRZ 11, used in trains of ZSSK and ČD (Slovak Railways and Czech Railways) corresponds to recommendations of the European Railway Union UIC 568. Furthermore, it consists of elements from optical information facility “BUSE SIS” that is in full accordance with conditions of the present European standard information systems for transport according to German recommendation VDV 300 (IBIS).
Basic description of information system’s performance:
Through activating element on directing stand also the board computer; irrespectively computer’s terminals are activated, thus becoming superior for all rests on the train. After the number of train is chosen, the information system is ready for journey by adjustment of the place of destination at both the outer and inner panels. At the inner panel this information take turns with reading of a real time. The driver, pushing the activation key on board computer before closing doors and departure from the station activates the whole system into its operating position.
After pre-programmed time criteria as from closing doors elapsed, the next station is announced and, at inner panels the name of the next station is displayed, this information take turns with reading of a real time.
After pre-programmed distance – approximately 50 meters before reaching stoppage or a station – its name is announced.

In the case the passenger pushes the button for request stop, the drive through confirming push-button announces from digital announcer acoustically the next request stop and, this information is displayed also at the inner displays, where it take turns with reading of a real time.
Automated acoustics and optical system for passenger is an open system that allows finding additional solutions without hardware modification, subsequent services for passengers (e.g. resolution of system for blinds etc.), as well as for operative staff of the railway (e.g. dispatcher organization of work, etc.).
