Safety systems

We provide passenger safety systems that comply with all contemporary standards and requirements.

Brake controls

Electronic equipment designed for tractive units. These controls are for the electropneumatic (EP) brakes (braking and brake release) in connected rolling stock and receive emergency braking (EB) commands from connected rolling stock. The engineer has the ability to assess the EB command and has an EB override to allow them to continue running.

Enhanced passenger safety
Sophisticated systems ensure the proper coordination of all electronic, electro-mechanical and electro-pneumatic devices to achieve maximum braking force and door closing, blocking and unblocking
Shortening braking distances
Brake system coordination on locomotives and all wagons increases braking effect. The high speed and emergency interrupt mode enable the engineer to influence the system's braking modes
Selective door blocking
Dependent upon speed, platform location and emergency situations, train personnel may prohibit or permit the opening of the required doors

Brake control block BRBxxx

Brake control block BRBxxx

This block contains circuits to power basic functions of the UIC information line and has flow limitation to ensure priority for brake control functions if they are intermingled with control signals for the basic functions.

  • modular design
  • front connectors
  • self-diagnostics with error logging
  • pneumatic brake is fully functionally when the unit is off
  • communication interfaces: ETH, Serial

Emergency brake override

The unit is used to control the emergency brake override (EBO) valve and control the electropneumatic braking and electropneumatic brake release (EBR) valves in rolling stock with commands from the 18-conductor UIC information cable or a 9-conductor UIC brake cable.

EBR and EBO controls - DB

EBR and EBO controls - DB

It controls the brake valve, brake release and emergency brake override valve in the wagon. The board monitors the status of the emergency brake valves in the wagon and DC signals for advanced functions using a UIC 558-compliant information cable.

Selective door blocking

Units used to block door opening in rolling stock. This unit secures automatic door blocking and unblocking at standard-defined speeds.
